We got a new fence. This is my view when I look up at it. I'm not that short, but this fence is tall!
I need to stand on my tippy-toes to open the gate. Not sure why the fence needs to be so tall, but this is what my neighbors got.
When I was little, my mom said that short people are "fun sized" referring to bagged candy bars. There is nothing fun about being short, especially as you age.
I used to climb on the kitchen counters to reach items in the top shelf of the cabinets. I no longer do that.
The bottom shelf gave me a step to reach items in the grocery store. Now, I wait until someone taller comes closer or go ask for help.
It's hard to be independent when height-challenged.
I am glad that my children are all taller than me, so when they are home, I can have them reach things.
But when they are not around, I rely on the help of taller strangers or my trusty step-stool.
Please, don't make fun of short people, just give us a hand.
Thank you.
